If You Think There’s Nothing You Can Do, You’re Probably Right!
When you are dealing with children, especially difficult children, it’s very important for you to keep a positive attitude. It makes a big difference to everything you say and do. If you believe you are in charge and children will obey your directions, they probably will. Your confidence and assertiveness will give your voice the sound of authority. This has a dramatic impact on children.
On the other hand, if you expect children to be disobedient, if you assume your best efforts will fail, then they probably will.
So, keep a positive attitude. Act and talk like you are in charge. Act and talk like your efforts will have the desired effect. Chances are they will.
