Respect?
Respect is a two-way street. If you disregard their rights and needs, it’s going to be very difficult for you to teach them to respect the rights and needs of others. This is particularly important during their teen years as they develop independence. Nothing frustrates teenagers as much as adults who have no understanding or respect for adolescent needs.
