Before you pay $80.00 for jeans and $120.00 for running shoes...
The new school year is about to begin which means that millions of children have started pestering their parents to buy expensive new school clothes. Unfortunately, it isn’t good enough to have new jeans, they have to be the ones with the designer label. The only acceptable running shoes are the "fancy" ones used by a popular basketball star.
To deal with these demands, have a discussion with your children before the next shopping trip. Inform them that you are willing to pay for good quality clothing. They are welcome to purchase the designer clothes but must pay the difference in the prices. It’s amazing how quickly their fashion tastes change when the money is coming out of their own pockets.
