"Gift" Your Child
Children go through tough times, the same as adults do. When they are struggling, school work and chores tend to be low priorities and are often left unfinished. Rather than overlook the unfinished work, consider doing it for them.
Think about this from the child’s point of view. It’s a big lift to realize that your teacher has completed your unfinished mathematics for you. It’s a great start to the day to find a note on the breakfast table that reads, "The garbage has already been put out by the curb. Have a nice day."
Everyone needs a boost sometimes. So, give it a try but remember:
No deals. No reminders that it was really the child’s job.
It’s a gift.
