Bedroom Cleanup
When children are sent to clean their bedrooms, they never do the job
the way you really wanted it done. Here's a great tip:
When you enter a dirty room, you compare the present state of the
room against a picture in you mind of what that room looks like clean.
Every difference between the two pictures is a job that needs to be done.
The problem is that children don't have your picture. Therefore, they will
never do this job the same way you would have done it.
To solve this problem, help your children clean their bedrooms to the point
that you want them to do it on their own. Take a picture, of each area in the
bedrooms, and mount the pictures on a bulletin board in their bedrooms.
The next time they are to clean their rooms, point to the pictures and say, Make your bedrooms look like this." Now, you all have the same picture in
mind.
